I recently got a call from my friend Molly Fowler asking about my favorite audio and video gadgets. Molly, by the way, is the best cook and cooking teacher anywhere. You can see what she is up to on her website www.TheDiningDiva.com. Anyway, she is working on a new Internet radio show and some new cooking videos and she wanted some recommendations of gadgets and tools I use for my audio, radio and video projects.
I thought others might like this same information, so here are my Favorite Audio & Video Gadgets all of which you can find on Amazon.com:
The downside to the Flip is that it doesn’t accommodate an external mic, but as you can see from my “Learning to Drive a Tractor” video, it picks up sound at quite a distance.
Besides the Sony Vegas Movie Studio software, I also like to use Audacity, which is a free program to record audio. The Audio-Technica microphone works great with it.
If you host a Blog Talk Radio show or webinar using a cordless phone or Skype, it is just a matter of time until your cordless battery goes dead, you lose your Internet connection or your electricity goes out. Yes, you may lose the visual connection from the computer, but at least if you have your trusty wired land line, you can still communicate with your listeners.
Leave me a comment if you have other great ideas for audio, video or Internet radio gadgets.
